Position Summary

As a Commercial Excellence Lead, you will be a key driver in developing, executing, and implementing the commercial strategy and commercial excellence initiatives through close collaboration with the local Sales & Marketing functions and the Commercial Excellence team on a global level.
You will be a commercial generalist, focusing on commercial strategy, sales, and marketing – and help to drive forward our digitalization agenda.

A Day in the Life of a Commercial Excellence Lead

  • Lead and execute a breadth of commercial excellence initiatives. Secure implementation of projects, including but not limited to setting up a mechanism to motivate and engage the organization around these. Track progress, provide transparency, and ensure impact of projects as per the defined goals. Examples of potential initiatives: Development and implementation of sales tools, sales materials, sales methodologies, and training schemes. Setup of key performance indicators, optimization of processes, digitalization of sales and marketing etc
  • Actively engage and support local sales teams to optimize sales pitches, customer engagement and CRM
  • Build reporting dashboards, with support from data analytics team, required for local market tracking and management review
  • Be the single point of contact for all CRM-related questions from sales representatives and liaise with dedicated Master Data Manager & IT teams to get things implemented
  • Partner with local Sales Managers on channel execution (Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Pharmacies)
  • Share best practices with peers in other countries and Global teams

What will make you successful

  • Bachelor/Master’s degree in business and /or economics
  • At least 5 years of experience in strategy, marketing, sales and / or account management, ideally gained in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry
  • Additional experience with digitalization is a plus
  • Previous demonstrated impact in driving commercial strategy processes and executing commercial excellence projects in a matrix environment, as well as the management of complex commercial customer-facing projects
  • Proven successful track record in CRM System
  • Project management skills
  • Fluent in German & English, French is a plus
