Position summary
Located in the centre of Zug (Switzerland) our Company is focused on the trading of raw materials (mainly coal). We offer a dynamic working environment that provides opportunities to develop and grow your knowledge and career within the Company.
To complete our team, we are looking for a COAL TRADING OPERATOR to join our dynamic and experienced team, taking care of the following tasks:
Your responsibilities:
- KYC process follow up till onboarding confirmation, including collection of documents requested and interface with legal dept.
- Drafting of sales/purchase contracts, negotiation of contractual terms with customers and interface with legal department until contract finalization;
- Monitoring receipt of financial guarantees applicable to each sale transaction (prepayment, import and export Letter of Credit);
- Checking / drafting of Letters of Credit, proper and timely preparation of documents for negotiation;
- Liaising with logistics dept, terminals, vessel owners, brokers and agents;
- Monitoring wagon transit to the ports and regular communication with logistics to ensure timely arrival of the goods for vessel loading;
- Continuous liaison with suppliers, receivers, traders, agents, terminals, owners (overseeing and following up vessel nomination procedure, agents’ nomination, receiving and issuing documentary and loading instructions, handling B/L’s & shipping documents, following up on loading operations with the terminal, issuing LOI, etc.) in order to have the cargo delivered to the receiver in the most possible efficient way;
- Checking with internal compliance department and with cargo insurance, suitability and insurability of each vessel;
- Arranging in-port operations including inspection and surveys, vessel agency, checking shipping document drafts and ensure issuance of proper documentation.
- Maintaining up to date internal Corporate ERP system feeding with shipment information, registration of contracts, orders, in and out invoices.
- Daily communication and coordination with internal departments (traders, chartering, trade finance, accounting, legal, compliance);
- Monitoring receivables and ensure timely cash collection from Customers.
What makes you successful:
- Several years of experience in the same position for an international trading company;
- Fluent English and Russian is a must (C2 level - written and spoken)
- Strong Microsoft skills;
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamic NAV is a plus;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills,
- Ability to work under pressure and in team;
- Precision and attention to detail;
