METI is responsible for providing highly competitive supply structures to its gas and power sales affiliates, optimizing its power generation assets, managing the LNG portfolio, and trading around international positions.
Job Description
Review and Standardization of Risk Representation:
- Evaluate risk representation across METI activities to ensure consistency and comparability across asset classes.
- Develop a common framework for Delta, Gamma, Vega, Theta, and Rho risks within METI.
- Collaborate with colleagues to challenge existing approaches and ideas, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Design a robust framework to simulate different scenarios and facilitate strategic discussions and decision-making.
Expansion of Tool-Set for METI Finance:
- Collaborate with the team to enhance and diversify the automation and logic in code (VBA, SQL, Python).
- Assist in code development and challenge existing coding practices.
- Explore new programming languages and methods (Python, R) to improve efficiency and effectiveness in data analytics.
Power BI and Data Access:
- Contribute to structuring and presenting outputs to stakeholders.
- Engage in continuous efforts to refine and optimize data access capabilities.
- Collaborate with the team to develop operational aspects of data visualization and reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in a related field (internship experience is considered and graduates are welcome to apply).
- Strong coding skills in VBA, SQL, and Python. Familiarity with R is a plus.
- Some proficiency in data visualization tools, particularly Power BI, advantageous
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and challenge ideas, desire to strengthen technical skills and continue learning.
